A street by street history of Fremantle’s West End, brought to you by the Museum of Perth.
Research Notes
The list of residents in each house has been extracted from the WA Post Office Directories (1893-1949) and newspaper articles found on Trove (1803-1954). Sometimes street renumbering or subdivision after these times affects the accuracy of what is reflected in these records.
We encourage Fremantle’s past and present residents to share their own knowledge in contributing to the project. Please email jo@museumofperth.com.au.
A project by the Museum of Perth in partnership with the University of Notre Dame Australia.
